Message from Our Principal:

The 2008-2009 school year brings many exciting changes to our "A" school!  Increasing each child's academic achievement is one of our top priorities.  A new reading program is being implemented at every grade level.  Kindergarten students will be using Read Well, while students in grades 1-5 use McGraw-Hill.  Students who are substantially below grade level will be using SRA.  A school-wide writing program is being implemented.  Students in grades 1-4 will be using Kathryn Robinson's program.  Before and after school clubs have been created by teachers willing to donate their time - these will begin early this school year.

Your child's safety is also a top priority.  You will notice many extra procedures in place to ensure their safety.

Ensuring lines of communication are open to you is extremely important to me.  We communicate with parents via monthly newsletters, email messages, phone calls using ParentLink, parent conferences, PTO/SAC meetings and individual meetings with me.  My teachers will make contact with you within 24 hours of receiving correspondence from you.  Also, I am always available to discuss any challenges you might encounter.

Our NCLB School Public Accountability Report and Annual Yearly Progress Report are available in our front office for your review.
