Hector Albert Cafferata, Jr., USMCR (November 4, 1929 - April 12, 2016) was a United States Marine who received the Medal of Honor for his actions at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.

The U.S. Navy will be building a new ship, The Hector A. Cafferata Jr.  Attending the naming ceremony were Hector Cafferata's granddaughter and great-grandson, and Dr. Kurtz. The ceremony was held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia.
